Patience and attention to detail pay big dividends here. This is the advice I found MOST USEFUL when I started out in versus mode.Įxterminate the idle commons before a tank fight. More useful stuff nicked from another site when I was a newbie. The last few points are more crucial in versus mode. Even if you're incapacitated, you can still shoot the tank with your pistols. And return to shooting the tank.Ĩ) If a team mate is incapacitated and hoarded by CIs, clear the CIs and go back to shooting the tank.ĩ) When shooting the tank, take note of your surroundings and avoid running yourselt into a dead corner.ġ0) Always shoot the tank. Survivors that refuse to shoot the tank, run away and hide in some corner almost always get kicked by experienced players in versus.Ħ) If you spot a boomer, kill it first because a horde creates chaos in a tank fight.ħ) Clear pinned team mates first. This is a good habit to have, especially if later on you intend to play PvP modes. You should always be shooting and killing something when the tank is in play. Once the CIs are dead, the tank is pretty much gonna be a dead tank because all firepower will be on him. :>ĥ) If many Survivors are hoarded, make it a priority to kill the CIs first. Throwing Molotovs at tanks and missing him completely is the hall mark of a noob. Throw it ON THE GROUND in front of his feet. Toss the Molotov IN FRONT of him so he walks INTO the flames. Fight tanks at areas where these objects are out of play.Ĥ) Shoot the tank but dun get so close that he can punch you. Places with as little environmental obstruction as possible.ģ) Tanks can instantly incap survivors with certain objects such as cars, forklifts, dumpsters etc. Pop them when the tank commits his attack.Ģ) Fight the tank in open areas, where CIs have been cleared and there are loads of places for you to run around and juke his rocks and punches. In Versus: 6000hpġ) Make sure your health is above 40 hp and that if you're about to limp, there are a set of pills or adrenaline in your inventory on standby. In Campaign: Easy 2000hp, Normal 4000hp, Advanced and Expert 8000hp. Before fighting the tank it helps to know that tanks have different HPs depending on the difficulty.
